From our plants, hampers and gifts to our bouquets and arrangements, we take care of sourcing suppliers who align with our values - sustainability, satisfaction and creativity.
Our talented team of florists infuse their work with love and magic, putting their passion into creating blooming beautiful flowers, and memories that last.
Ran by husband and wife duo, Laura & Gaz Rocket, the Bloom & Rocket team are part of one big family - each bringing their own creative flair.
This isn’t just a job to us. We immerse ourselves in the world of flowers, living and breathing their beauty.
We love what we do; we even have a sister florist located in Kenmore Village and now we get to bring our passion for flowers to Taringa too.
Our Flowers & Process
Some call us crazy, we call it passion - we’re up at the crack of dawn for the flower market run - being first in line to source the very best quality flowers to create your blooms.
We hand-select our flowers to ensure freshness and each bouquet and arrangement is quality checked before it leaves our store.
We understand it’s not always easy to choose the blooms or size - that’s why we’ve made it easy with our simple collections, colour and size choices.
As we work with seasonal variants, we can’t always guarantee exact replicas of the products you see, but we do guarantee the best quality and freshness, and each size bouquet and arrangement is infused with the same amount of love.
Online orders can be delivered on the day (if ordered before 12noon) or the very next day. Some may say we run a tight rocket-ship, and we like to think so too.
Meet The Rockets
Although these days you may catch her saying ‘G’Day’, Laura or Lala Rocket is originally from a small town in the North East of England.
With a Landscape Gardener for a father, it was only a matter of time before she got her fingers green and at 16 she started her floristry career. It wasn’t long before she met and fell in love with fellow gardener, Gaz and after visiting ‘down under’ a couple of times, they embarked on a relocation to Brisbane.
They left a life and family in the UK behind to embrace a new life surrounded by nature and sunshine, and fell in love with Brisbane (it was hard not too!). Not long after landing, Laura landed a job at Kenmore Village Florists, and just a few years later had bought the shop and the Rocket Florist business adventure began.
The evolution of Bloom & Rocket
Fast forward to today; 3 children, 14 years in Australia and 10 busy Valentine’s days under their belt, Gaz joined the business full time and together they have launched their second florists; Bloom & Rocket, previously St. Lucia House of Flowers, Taringa.
Together, with their talented and hard-working team, Laura & Gaz continue to infuse their work with love, passion and magic! While you’ll find Laura on the morning market runs or creating bouquets on the shop floor, Gaz is running a tight-schedule in the Bloom & Rocket ship aka. delivering all of your orders on time.
